It’s FINALLY here!!
Welcome to the launch of Authentically Aja & my very FIRST blog post. Who would have “thunk it” LOL, little ‘ol me, a whole blogger out here in 2020? This time last year I never would have imagined I would be here today, but here I am.
Who am I?
My name is Aja, I’m a wife, mother, and perfectly imperfect child of God who strives to honor Him in every area of my life. I’m 30 years old and I’m originally from Georgia. I live in Texas now and consider it home. I’ve been a Respiratory Therapist for 2 years and before that, served in The United States Air Force. I’ve been happily married to my best friend Pierre for almost 7 years. We met while serving in the military and have been inseparable ever since. He’s my best friend and biggest supporter. We have two beautiful girls together, Araya & Airess and they are truly the light of our lives! I have also been blessed with two bonus children whom I love dearly.
What is this blog about and why now?
I’m in a new season of my life. I recently transitioned from my career to be a full time stay at home mom during this pandemic. With more time on my hands now, I created this blog to share my personal testimonies of motherhood and marriage. It is my desire to connect with women and moms from all paths of life. I want you to feel inspired to live your best authentic life, wherever and whatever season of life you are in. I will use this space to advocate for the change I wish to see in the world, and to help educate those around me. While I am no fashion guru, I’ve been working on leveling up my wardrobe, so I hope to share some budget friendly fashion tips as well. God has been entirely too good to me for me not to acknowledge him. While I am not here to force my beliefs down your throat, you will see the word of God sprinkled throughout the blog.
I’m so incredibly happy to have you here with me on this journey. If you have been thinking about starting something new whether it’s a blog, business, or hobby my advice to you is to GO FOR IT! Start today! Do not wait any longer. Everything does not need to be figured out right now, you will learn as you go. It’s okay to make mistakes, mistakes help bring us to new levels. I’ve done it and you can do it too!
