As much as I love sharing our spruced up family photos with you guys, this is really me 90% of the time! Lounge wear, uncombed hair, and one of my children clinging to my side.

But this photo doesn’t even share the whole story; in the background Araya and Airess are fighting about who gets to sit closer to the water faucet in the bathtub. 🥴

Y’all, my head just spins some days.

Why do I share this with you?
Because I’ve fallen into the social media compassion trap more times than I would like to admit.

Everything we see on social media is just a highlighted reel. It’s so easy to get caught up comparing yourself to all the glitz we see on here. I want to make sure I show up sometimes in my truest form so you never feel the comparison pressure from the photos I share.

This job isn’t easy. Being a Mommy is actually the hardest job in the world. I’m outnumbered 3 to 1, and I feel like my kids purposely tag team some days to see who can wear me out the fastest.

FYI- Airess always wins 🤣

But it’s so important, so beautiful, so rewarding and special and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. My babies love me so much even when I feel like I’ve fallen short. These years are hard but I know one day I’ll miss them.

I just want to remind my Mamas, we are everything to our babies. Don’t ever think you’re not good enough because of what you may see here in this space. Follow accounts that bring you joy and make you feel good and inspired.

Happy Birthday to the one who made me a Mommy!

Most children ask for the latest toy, but not Araya. Homegirl asked for a vacation to Hawaii 🤣. I love that her standards are high, however we compromised on a staycation and she had an absolute blast living her best life this past weekend.

Even though it feels like time is moving way to fast, I can’t wait to see where life takes my girl. I have no doubt that God has great plans for her in life.

It’s the first Monday of 2022! Whose ready to take off full speed and start crushing goals?! Not Me 😆😂

Now before you think I’m crazy hear me out! I definitely plan to crush some goals this year and spread my wings more, however I’m planning to ease into things because the burn out can be so real.

I’m planning to be more intentional about self care. I’ve learned from some amazing women here on IG, it’s not selfish to put yourself first. It’s okay to take a break, rest, honor how you’re feeling or even get away for a little while. Let’s all agree to focus a little more on filling our cups this year.

Anything you want to achieve this year you can do it, no matter how big or small. Stop letting your own doubts and fears clip your wings, or allowing others to weigh them down. I’m rooting for you!♥️✨

What a year it has been. I had more firsts, took more chances and learned a lot about myself.

I’m so incredibly grateful to end the year with everyone I started it with plus one more! Our biggest blessing this year has been our baby boy Ace. He has completed our family and brought so much joy and love into our lives in short 7 months.

I’m excited to see what’s in store for us in 2022.

Who’s ready for a new year, new chapter, new energy and new opportunities?! I know I am!

May 2022 bring more memories, more joy, more blessings our way and yours! Can’t wait to see what we all achieve 🎉♥️

Just taking a moment to brag on my Big Girl! My baby brought home all A’s and excellent behavior on her report card. I’m so proud of her for doing and giving her best. We rewarded her with a toy of her choice.

Growing up my parents mindset was “you don’t get rewards for doing what you’re suppose to do”🙄😂

While I do understand where they were coming from, we choose to reward but place the focus on the process and not just the end result. For some good grades are easy, almost effortless. For others it’s a real stretch and we know things can change as the workload becomes greater.

We as parents want to instill that hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and effort are just as important and deserves rewards as well. Even when it doesn’t measure up to society standards for example standardized testing.

So I’m curious how many of you feel rewards are appropriate or do you feel no reward is necessary because it’s expected of them? Remember this is a judge free zone so let’s chat! ✨

I get so emotional looking at these pictures because I remember once a upon a time I didn’t believe I was worthy of such a life. In 2011 my life was a straight up train wreck. Some days my hands were held high enjoying the ride and other days bracing myself for the impact. But God!!🙌🏽

If you would have told me this all those years ago, that I would be where I am in life right now I would have never believed you! I have the best husband and we’ve been blessed with some amazing children.

I’ve learned there is no secret recipe to happiness, just choose to love life no matter what crosses your path. Know that you are worthy and deserving of whatever it is that your heart desires.

I just want to remind us all , this time of year isn’t always joyous for everyone. Remember to be patient,kind and sensitive towards others because you never know what silent battle someone may be fighting. If you are fighting and reading this please remember that you are loved, you are important, you will get through this and I’m rooting for you.
