Hey Family!
I haven’t officially announced here on the blog, but a BABY BOY is on the way! I’m currently in the second trimester of my 3rd pregnancy, and this journey has been quite the ride thus far. Each pregnancy has been very different (especially this one) but there are a few items that have helped me tremendously along the way.
First I want to share what symptoms I’m currently experiencing.
-Constipation
-Heartburn
-Fatigue
-Itchy/Dry Skin
-Bloating
You know how the saying goes “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” so here are a few of my old faithful pregnancy essentials.
- Prenatal Vitamins
One of the first things my OB/GYN advised me to do was start taking a prenatal vitamin. I’m horrible with swallowing pills, so finding something chewable was a must! These Olly prenatal vitamins have been a hit. They seriously taste just like candy.
Please check with your physician on what brand would be best for you, I’m simply just sharing with you what I use.
2. Bio Oil
The skin stretch during pregnancy is real. Bio-Oil has been my go to for extra moisture, also it has helped to keep my stretch marks to a minimum. I love it so much because a little truly goes a long way.
3. MiraLAX
Let’s be honest, constipation is real during pregnancy. Quite frankly if there is anything that is safe to take during pregnancy to help alleviate this unwanted symptom sign me up! MiraLAX is a safe, effective product that you can add to your meals or drinks. It’s flavorless, so you won’t even know it’s there.
4.Always Panty Liners
If it weren’t for these handy dandy panty liners I would have to keep an unlimited supply of undies on hand at all times. As the baby grows and places more pressure on my bladder, that causes bladder leaks at times especially when sneezing or coughing. There is absolutely no shame in my game, I do my kegel exercises and keep it moving.
5. TUMS
Last but not least TUM,TUM,TUM, TUM, TUMSSSSS!!!! Baby boy better come out with a head full of hair with the amount of heartburn I’ve been experiencing so early on. Do you believe that old wives tale? Well TUMS have surely been a life saver for me helping to alleviate gas and heartburn.
I hope that some if not all of the items I’ve shared will help you out during your pregnancy. I would love to hear some feedback and comments about what products you’ve used and what worked for you!
